Department of the Premier and Cabinet (1) There are 28 people including part-time officers, employed in the Government Media Office, of which: 7 are employed in co-ordination and administration functions; 15 are employed in the Media Monitoring function; 1 is employed as a Media Adviser; and 5 are employed in the Community Liaison function. There are also 20 other people employed in various Media Liaison or Media Adviser positions throughout the Department, including Media Advisers to the Premier, Ministers and the two Opposition parties. (2) The total salary expenditure for the Government Media Office in 2001/2002 was $1,003,111 and for the media positions throughout the Department, the salary expenditure was $1,355,932.
