I thank the member for some notice of the question. (1) It is my view that a change in leadership is needed at the Gascoyne Development Commission. (2) I advise the house that Ms Jones has accepted a transfer from her current position and no severance or redundancy payment is applicable. These changes have been carried out in accordance with the Public Sector Management Act 1994. (3) In the short term, a senior public servant will fill the chief executive officer’s position at the commission, and the search for a permanent replacement will begin immediately.
