I refer to Western Australia’s international trade and investment activities, and I ask: (a) what trade missions
for 2014-15 are planned or proposed; and (b) what Western Australian businesses have received assistance or support in: (i) Africa, through its Nairobi Office; (ii) China, through its Shanghai and Hangzhou Office; (iii) Europe, through its London Office; (iv) the Middle East, through its Dubai Office; (v) Korea, through its Seoul Office; (vi) Japan, through its Tokyo and Kobe Office; (vii) Singapore, through its Singapore Office; (viii) Indonesia, through its Jakarta Office; and (ix) India, through its Mumbai Office?

Department of State Development advises:
(a) As at 12 November 2014,  Hon Mia Jane Davies MLA will visit China
and Hon Helen Morton MLC will visit the United Kingdom, Italy and Finland.
(b)-(i)-(iv) The Middle East and Africa Office, Dubai Office, provided assistance to Western Australian companies across agriculture; fisheries; infrastructure investment; services; film; education and tourism. The Nairobi Office also provided assistance to Western Australian companies across mining and resources; education and agribusiness.
(b)-(ii) The China Office, Shanghai and Hangzhou, provided assistance to Western Australian companies across mining and resources; agriculture; fisheries, fine foods, infrastructure investment; services (legal and financial); film, education, and tourism.
(b)-(iii) The Europe Office, London provided assistance to Western Australian companies and organisations across mining and resources; infrastructure investment; radio astronomy; innovation; science and technology; education; agribusiness; financial and professional services.
(b)-(v) The Korea Office, Seoul provided assistance to Western Australian companies and 30 Korean companies, ranging from agribusiness; energy and resource; infrastructure; food and beverage; maritime construction; retail; education and professional services.
(b)-(vi) The Japan Office, Tokyo and Kobe, provided assistance to Western Australian companies across mining and resources; agriculture; fisheries, fine foods, infrastructure investment; financial services, education, tourism and film.
(b)-(vii) The Singapore Office provided assistance to Western Australian companies across mining and resources; infrastructure investment; ICT; education; agribusiness and professional services.
(b)-(viii) The Indonesia Office, Jakarta provided assistance to Western Australian companies across mining and resources, agribusiness, education, and professional services. The Office also assisted 20 Indonesian companies with trade, business and investment introductions, information and other assistance.
(b)-(ix) The India Office, Mumbai provided assistance to Western Australian companies across education, resources, agriculture and professional services.
