Public housing—Evictions
906. Hon Simon Ehrenfeld to the parliamentary
secretary representing the Attorney General:
I refer to the Residential Tenancies Act 1987 eviction orders
and the antisocial behaviour at the Ninth Avenue social housing complex in
Inglewood.
(1) How many eviction orders have been made by the
Magistrates Court in relation to this housing complex to date?
(2) How many eviction orders have been made by the
Magistrates Court in relation to fixed-term social housing tenancies statewide
in 2024–25?
(3) Does the government intend to implement
reforms to ensure that laws governing the eviction of social housing tenants
for antisocial and disruptive behaviour are adequate and timely?
