FIONA STANLEY HOSPITAL — ICT SYSTEM
694. Hon SUE ELLERY to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the provision of information and technology
systems at Fiona Stanley Hospital and the ''FSH ICT Status &
Readiness Working Paper''.
(1) Can the Minister for Health confirm that —
(a) only Royal
Perth Hospital and Fremantle Hospital systems will be able to view records and
entries created in the Fiona Stanley Hospital information and communications
technology system; and
(b) the ICT system at FSH was
procured without a competitive tender process?
(2) If yes to (1)(b), why was an exemption granted for the
ICT procurement?
(3) Is the
lack of competitive tender for the ICT at FSH the reason for the lack of mobility
of records; and, if not, why has this situation occurred?
(4) How much
will it cost to create full visibility of records across the state health
system, and has this been budgeted for?
