DANTE WYNDHAM ARTHURS
I ask a supplementary question. In October last year, when the Attorney General agreed to the current parliamentary inquiry into the prosecution of assault and sexual offences in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, was the Attorney aware that the DPP had dropped the charges relating to this incident? I can answer that for the Attorney! Mr J.A. McGINTY

I am just trying to recollect whether I was aware at that time. I think the answer to that question is yes. I think it is. It was about the time that Dante Arthurs was arrested on the charges to which he has now pleaded guilty. Soon after that was when I first became aware. However, that was before the parliamentary committee was set up. The answer to the question is yes.
