HOUSING — FEDERAL LABOR POLICY
411. Mr A. KRSTICEVIC to
the Minister for Housing:
I have a supplementary question. For the clarity of the
people of Western Australia, is the government's policy for house
prices to go up, go down or stay the same?

AnswerView source ↗

I am not sure I can
dignify that with an answer. Member for Carine, here is a better question: are
we for a free market or a closed market? If we are for a free market, we
are looking at the levers that create the ullage in our budget that create the
opportunities for government to work on the jobs that are required for people
to afford to get into homes. That is what this government is about. That is
what this government will always be about—that is, jobs. The access to
home ownership is through secure employment and a government they can believe
in, a government that is committed to their future, not to your own future.
