(2) 3998 female teachers were employed in government secondary schools on 14 December 2006. (3) 3040 male teachers were employed in government secondary schools on 22 February 2007. (4) 3827 female teachers were employed in government secondary schools on 22 February 2007. Numbers refer to individual teachers (heads) and include teachers working on full-time and part-time basis. Numbers relate to all categories of teaching staff, including classroom teachers and school administrators such as principals and heads of learning areas. Teachers on approved leave are included.
