BUILDING MANAGEMENT AND WORKS — PROJECT
BANK ACCOUNTS
434. Ms R. SAFFIOTI to the Minister for
Finance:
I have a supplementary question.
Through that answer, the minister is confirming that for three years he has
been looking at project bank accounts; and, if that system were in place, we
would not have the hardships that many subcontractors are facing today.

AnswerView source ↗

We have been trialling it.
Ms
R. Saffioti interjected.
The
SPEAKER : Member for West Swan!
Mr
W.R. MARMION : We cannot just implement something like that; we have to
trial it and get feedback from both industry and subcontractors. The trial has
completed. A decision has not been made, but a decision is being looked at at
the moment.
