I refer to the Peel Education Campus in Mandurah which includes the collocated entities of John Tonkin College, the Career Enterprise Centre, Challenger TAFE (Peel Campus) and Murdoch University and ask: (a) a Planning process was established last year to look at future use of the site, what is the status of that strategic planning process; (b) who was on the Planning Taskforce for the Peel Education Campus and has a final Report been completed and recommendations provided to you and other relevant Ministers; (c) have you committed to a building program expansion of the John Tonkin College on the PET Campus and if so what is proposed and what is the estimated cost of such a build on the site; (d) what decisions have been made about the John Tonkin College site at Tindale Street in Mandurah (formerly Mandurah High School); and (e) if a report is now compete regarding the Strategic Plans for the Peel Education Campus will you release it publicly and if not why not?

(a) The strategic planning process has not yet been completed.
(b) A working party comprising Mr John Fischer and Mr Malcolm Parr from the Department of Education and Ms Helen Smart and Mr John Cloake from the Department of Training and Workforce Development has met on a number of occasions to progress the strategic planning process. A final report has not yet been completed.
(c) No commitment has been given to a building program on the Peel Campus of John Tonkin College.
(d) No decisions have been taken regarding the John Tonkin College site on Gibla Street, Mandurah.
(e) Not applicable. See (b) above.
