With reference to the recent negotiation of a composite rate model for the remuneration of school bus contractors, and the Government’s decision to make “back pay” payments to school bus contractors who signified their agreement in principle to the final proposal on remuneration -

2. No. 30 out of the 710 contracts did not qualify for a back payment. Therefore, the payment rate under the new CRM did not exceed the existing payment rate. 3. 189 contracts are held by the 25 contractors who each hold more than 3 contracts. Ten of those received a backpayment on all of their contracts.
