852. Hon KEN BASTON to the Minister for Environment:
I refer to Francois Peron National
Park near Denham.
(1) How many paid
visitors were there to Francois Peron National Park during the 2016–17
financial year and the 2017–18 financial year?
(2) What was the
total revenue from park entry fees for these periods?
(3) What waste
disposal facilities are available for visitors within the park?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) In 2016–17, there were
68 424 recorded visits. In 2017–18, there were 69 538 recorded visits.
(2) In 2016–17,
it was $65 243, including park pass revenue, of which $63 796 was from direct
entry fees. In 2017–18, it was $67 744, including park pass revenue, of
which $66 551 was from direct entry fees.
(3) The
Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions provides two skip bins
within Francois Peron National Park, located
at the tyre air station near Peron Homestead, and there are 16 toilets.
