CORONAVIRUS —
PUBLIC SECTOR WORKERS
295. Hon PETER COLLIER to the Leader of the House
representing the Premier:
I refer to the Premier's
comments in the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday, 18 March that he had no
plans at this point in time for non-frontline public servants to operate from
home to protect the spread of coronavirus.
(1) Has the
Community and Public Sector Union–Civil Service Association of WA
contacted the Premier or his office to raise concerns about the impact of the
coronavirus on public sector workers?
(2) If yes to (1), on what dates was
the Premier or his office contacted?
(3) If yes to (1), what were the
issues raised by the CPSU–CSA?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1)–(3) The Premier has spoken to and/or met with
secretaries of several unions, as well as business and community leaders. The CPSU–CSA raised the issue of COVID-19 and how it may
impact on not only their members, but also the entire state. For more
information on our plan for non-frontline public servants, I refer the
honourable member to the answer to his question without notice 275.
