The Police Service advise they regularly review and proactively manage its vacant property holdings. Vacant properties fall into two categories, those being held as potential sites for future Police Service use (eg. Canning Vale site) and those properties identified as surplus to current Police Service needs. In some cases vacancies arise due to the opening of new stations, for example with the opening of Kensington Police Station Victoria Park (Lidfield St) became vacant.
