VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING FUNDING AGREEMENT
797. Hon LJILJANNA RAVLICH to the
Minister for Education:
(1) Can the
minister advise when the vocational education and training funding agreement
between Western Australia and the federal government is due to expire?
(2) When will schools receive
funding for VET programs?
(3) Will the
school funding amount reflect the expected increase in years 11 and 12 VET
enrolments given that students who do not do a Western Australian Certificate
of Education will now be required to do a certificate II, thereby likely
resulting in increased enrolments?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of this question. I am a little confused about part (3). A student
will need a certificate II to get a WACE.
I do not have this information at
the moment, but I will provide it on the next sitting day, which will be
Tuesday.
