I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. (1) Five men are cared for by staff of the Whitby Falls hostel. Four men reside at the hostel, while one lives independently at a house in Mundijong, assisted by the independent living program. (2) Two clinical staff are rostered for each morning, afternoon and night shift; that is, 7.5 full-time employees. In addition, there are 1.2 FTE cleaning staff. (3) Multidisciplinary assessments are approaching completion for two of the men; assessments of the remaining three men are due to commence within one to three weeks. The answer to this question is contingent upon the outcome of the assessments. (4) Purpose-built supported domestic-style accommodation will be provided for those men whose multidisciplinary assessments indicate that they possess functional capacity to reside safely within it. (5) In light of the clinical governance report of the office of the Chief Psychiatrist, dated August 2005, the location of the Whitby Falls land makes it very difficult for this purpose. An alternative site has been identified that is closer to requisite medical and emergency response services and also has bush surrounds and a hills aspect.
