GERALDTON HEALTH CAMPUS — REDEVELOPMENT
167. Mr R.S. LOVE to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question. Is the reason Geraldton has had such a long
wait the Labor government's disregard for regional health, or
the lack of representation from the Labor member for Geraldton?
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Order, please! I
give the call to the Premier. He will respond.

On
this side of the chamber, we are used to these nasty, personal, vicious,
negative contributions from the Leader of the Opposition. He is an angry
man because he knows that the WA Labor governments of this state have stood up for the people of Geraldton. We have made sure
that we made the right investments at the right time for their hospital .
COVID-19 impacted that building program significantly; COVID-19 disrupted the
entire world. But we are getting on with the job of redeveloping that hospital.
Why is that? It is because Geraldton has got the best member of Parliament it
has had in the last decade. The member for Geraldton has stood up for that
community. The member for Geraldton exposed opposition members for the frauds
they were when they held that seat, and now, thank goodness, we have a great
Labor member for Geraldton, and Geraldton is moving forward.
