MITCHELL FREEWAY ROADWORKS
Will the Premier confirm that Western Australian motorists will face traffic jams because of the Public Transport Authority’s attempt to save money on this project? Mr C.J. BARNETT

AnswerView source ↗

I do not believe that is the case, but I will get a written response to the member today, if that is possible. I do not see why it should not be. It is obviously desirable to do work such as that at night or on weekends when disruption is minimised. I recognise that commuters in particular have been very much disrupted on the freeway. I will get the member a detailed response.
