I thank the honourable member for some notice of this question. (1) Exmouth Limestone Pty Ltd holds an approval for a barge-loading facility at Exmouth for its products as stated in ministerial approval statement 465, dated 19 January 1998. There is currently no formal proposal before the EPA to amend this approval. (2) Not applicable. (3) On 9 February 2011 the chairman of the EPA wrote to Ezion Holdings Ltd and to Exmouth Limestone Pty Ltd indicating that if the intention is to develop a facility that is different to that approved in ministerial statement 465, then the proposal should be referred to the EPA for consideration. To date the EPA has not received a formal request to change ministerial statement 465, nor has any new proposal been referred to the authority. The Office of the Environmental Protection Authority is currently conducting an audit of compliance with conditions of ministerial statement 465.
