I refer to Child Development Services (CDS) provided through the Child and Adolescent Health Service, and I ask: (a) how many referrals to the CDS were accepted in the following years: (i) 2021; (ii) 2022; and (iii) 2023; and (b) how many CDS service planning appointments were undertaken in the following years: (i) 2021; (ii) 2022; and (iii) 2023?

The number of service planning appointments provided can be impacted by a range of factors, for example, changes in recording practices. In 2023 speech pathology piloted a combined service planning appointment and assessment for a targeted cohort of referrals and these appointments were recorded as an assessment rather than service planning appointments.
