CHINA GREEN, SUBIACO — MINISTER FOR PLANNING’S COMMENTS
Some notice of this question has been given. I refer to a Claremont–Nedlands Post article on 16 January 2010 in which the Minister for Planning was reported to have described opposition to the Australian Fine China development proposal as being generated by a small group of ill-informed locals. (1) Will the minister confirm the accuracy of his comments, as reported in the article? (2) If his comments were accurately reported, does the minister extend his description of “ill-informed locals” to include the Minister for Energy and the parliamentary secretaries Hon Michael Mischin and Mr Bill Marmion, the member for Nedlands, whose opposition to the proposed development was also reported in the Claremont–Nedlands Post article? Hon ROBYN McSWEENEY
