KEYSTART — URBAN
CONNECT
539. Hon STEVE MARTIN to the minister representing the
Minister for Housing:
I refer to Keystart's Urban Connect
loan product launched last year.
(1) Has the Urban Connect loan book
reached full capacity for 2022–23?
(2) If not, how
many Urban Connect loan applications have been received and how many
applications have been granted?
(3) Can the minister provide a breakdown by suburb of
where homes purchased under Urban Connect are located?

I
thank the member for some notice of the question. The following response has
been provided by the Minister for Housing.
(1)–(3) Keystart's pilot Urban Connect loan
product is aimed at enabling more Western Australians to achieve home ownership while supporting the state government's infill priorities
close to key amenity and Metronet hubs. To support the take-up of the loan
product, the state government through the 2023–24 state budget is expanding the eligibility of the pilot loan
product to include one-bedroom properties. The Urban Connect loan began on July 2022 and the pilot loan product
will run for two years. To date, there have been 11 loans received and
approved or pre-approved.
