With regard to the management of Central TAFE I ask - (1) Did the minister instruct the management at Central TAFE to halt its proposed restructure until a full review could be undertaken? (2) Who are the members of the review team and what are their positions at TAFE? (3) When is the review team due to table its recommendations? (4) Is the minister aware that the management of Central TAFE is conducting a massive realignment of staff before the review team reports, and that changes are due to be implemented by January 2001? (1) The Minister for Training requested that the Managing Director of Central TAFE postpone the proposed restructure until the review of the training sector, chaired by Mr Tony McRae, MLA, member for Riverton, is completed. (2) The review committee comprises Mr Tony McRae, MLA, member for Riverton; Mr Ralph Dawson, Managing Director, West Coast College of TAFE; Ms Lidia Rozlapa, Managing Director, Great Southern Regional College of TAFE; Ms Patricia Bourke, Executive Member, State School Teachers Union of WA; Ms Lyn Sherwood, Executive Director, Construction Skills Training Centre, representing industry; Mr Barrie McMahon, Manager, Enterprise and Vocational Training, Department of Education; and Mr Robert Player, General Manager, Training, Department of Training.
