DRUG AND PILL TESTING
SERVICE
780. Hon SOPHIA MOERMOND to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the announcement that the
Australian Capital Territory government has extended funding of the CanTEST
Health and Drug Checking service for another three years, an acknowledgement of
how it continues to benefit the health of the territory's residents.
(1) Is it still
the government's intention to not open a drug and pill testing centre
in Western Australia, despite Queensland opening its service in April 2024?
(2) Has the government conducted any research into
whether a drug and pill testing centre would be beneficial for the
community?
