(2) During March 2007, the Water Corporation's wastewater schemes experienced 108 overflows from a controlled environment. Most of these instances were as a direct result of blockages by fat and roots. Most wastewater overflows by nature of their size or fate, do not need to be reported to the Department of Environment and Conservation, under Section 72 of the Environmental Protection Act 1986. (3) During March 2007, there was one wastewater overflow reported above the reportable figure (of 10 kilolitres) agreed with the Department of the Environment and Conservation. The volume of the overflow was 50 kilolitres. The volume of all other overflows were individually below this figure, and are not specifically measured. (4) Refer to Question 3. (5) $3,920,000. (6) Data on properties sewered and properties connected is collected on an annual basis. Data for 2006/2007 will be available in July 2007.
