3) a) The Government is committed to Stage 1 of the Bunbury Waterfront project under the terms of the existing Cabinet approval from October 2006, including project delivery through a cost neutral development approach. LandCorp has already undertaken significant and costly preparatory work and the planning approvals process has commenced. Commencement of physical works during this term of Government is contingent on the City of Bunbury and the Western Australian Planning Commission issuing the relevant statutory planning approvals.
b) The timing of commencement of works is contingent on obtaining all planning and environmental approvals.
c) The State Government is committed to a community consultation process being ongoing for all project phases, including a community reference group and stakeholder reference group and broader community consultation.
4) The first meeting of the Community Reference Group will convene once Council decides it is happy to proceed with a plan that meets the cost neutral parameters of the State Government approval for Stage 1.
