ELECTRICITY
MARKET REVIEW — GEOFF WEDGWOOD
715. Mr W.J. JOHNSTON to the Premier:
I refer to the government's
electricity market review and a freedom of information application to the
Premier's office concerning advice received from consultant Mr Geoff
Wedgwood.
(1) Does the
Premier agree with Mr Wedgwood's comments revealed in that document
that, and I quote, ''Looks to me that the agenda has been hijacked''?
(2) If yes to (1), who has hijacked
the agenda?
(3) If no to (1),
does the Premier know why Mr Wedgwood told his senior staff that the agenda had
been hijacked?

(1)–(3) I
am not aware of the document that the member is referring to; could he help me
out there? What document did the member refer to?
Mr W.J. Johnston :
It is an FOI request for a document from your office.
Mr C.J. BARNETT :
To be honest, I really do not know what the member is talking about. Geoff
Wedgwood works in my office. He is employed as a consultancy contractor because
he has his own business in unrelated areas. I work with him on a daily basis.
He is not some outside consultant; he is on a consultancy contract but works in
my office alongside every other staff member. Unless the member can be more
specific, I cannot answer his question.
