CHILDREN IN CARE — UNENDORSED PLACEMENTS
939. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the Leader of the House representing
the Minister for Child Protection:
I refer to the 262 children in the
care of the CEO who were in an unendorsed placement as at 31 July 2020.
(1) What protocols, policies or procedures govern the
monitoring of, and caseworker contact with, such children?
(2) Will the minister table these
documents?
(3) If no to (2), why not?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) The casework practice manual outlines child
protection practice and details guidance for all child protection matters. The safety and wellbeing of a child or young person in these
placements continue to be monitored by their caseworker. The child or young
person continues to have access to all the same supports as any other child in
care.
(2)–(3) I table section
3.4.23, ''Unendorsed placements''.
