WOODEN POWER POLES — DIANELLA
245. Hon ALANNA CLOHESY to the Leader of the
House representing the Minister for Energy:
I refer the Minister for Energy to
the wooden power poles near Morley Drive and View Street, Dianella.
(1) When was the last time those
poles were inspected?
(2) Were any defects detected?
(3) If yes to (2), what defects were
detected?
(4) If yes to (2), have they been
replaced; and, if not, when will they be replaced?

(1)–(4) These
poles are within a 50-metre radius of the closest point between View Street and
Morley Drive. Without specific information provided by the member, Western
Power is unable to provide further details.

November 2015; no defects were found. S388753 was last inspected in November
2015; no defects were found. S388754 was last inspected in November 2015; no
defects were found. S388755 was last inspected in January 2016; no new defects
were found since the pole-top split identified in 2011. None of these poles are
considered a public safety risk or require replacement.
