Clean Energy Link—North
512. Hon Dr Steve Thomas to the Leader of the House representing the Minister for Energy
and Decarbonisation:
I refer to the
answer to my question on notice 1205, answered on 14 April 2026, on the Clean
Energy Link–North project. With regard to this project, I ask the following.
(1) What is the maximum amperage and
megawatt capacity of the existing 132-kilovolt line from Three Springs to
Perth?
(2) What is the maximum amperage and
megawatt capacity of the existing 330-kilovolt line?
(3) What additional amperage and megawatt
capacity will be made available by upgrading the existing 132-kilovolt line
from Three Springs to Perth to a 330-kilovolt line?

AnswerView source ↗

I welcome the
honourable member back.
(1)–(2) Three Springs is connected via two 132-kilovolt
lines rated at around 84 megawatts and 136 megawatts, and a 330-kilovolt
line rated at around 1,175 megawatts.
(3) Clean Energy Link–North upgrades will
replace a 132-kilovolt line with a 330-kilovolt line rated at around 1,175 megawatts
and maintain an existing 132-kilovolt line and the 330-kilovolt line rated at
around 84 megawatts and 1,175 megawatts respectively.
