4. Curtin University is conducting extensive evaluation of the Aussie Optimism Program. Almost 2300 upper primary school children and over 2100 parents have completed research questionnaires to assess student health outcomes and parent perception of the program. Over 400 school staff have completed questionnaires and interviews assessing factors that predict successful implementation and sustainability. Progress reports on the Aussie Optimism Program are presented to the Department of Health every six months and a project steering committee oversees the program implementation.
