(1) How many
participants to date have attended the leadership program to send school
leaders to Harvard University?
(2) Of those,
how many were school leaders at the time of their attendance and how many were
working in the department in other positions?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1) There were 22 participants.
(2) Of these, 20
were principals, 14 were working in schools and six were working as advisors to
school principals on a short-term basis at the time of their attendance. Each
of the six principals hold positions in schools that they will return to in
2017 or 2018. The remaining two participants were the director general of
Education and the director of the Department of Education's school
support and improvement unit.
