(a-d) The election commitment announcement in January 2025 was a WA Labor announcement in an election campaign. Burswood Park Board released its 20-year vision in 2023 which always outlined a new precinct development to unlock the remainder of the southern area of the former golf course site which has remained untouched since it closed more than 12 years ago. Since the release of this vision, Burswood Park has been in consultation with a range of stake holders about the potential options to bring Burswood Park's vision to reality. The Perth Entertainment and Sporting Precinct project consultation has been open to the public since May 2025 following the election commitment announcement and the re-election of the Cook Labor Government.
