1. The Aboriginal Alternative Dispute Resolution (AADRS) aims for 2008 are to provide Alternative Dispute Resolution to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people throughout Western Australia so as to assist these people to resolve their disputes and to assist in the reduction of the criminal offences and their incarceration rate within the criminal justice system.
2. The eligibility criteria in accessing AADRS services include:
o One person who is a party to a dispute and is Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander; the dispute is such that mediation can be attempted.
o When an individual, family or community are in dispute with one or more persons.

4 (a) No other categories of matters are eligible for AADRS services
(b)
o Situations where there has been a clear indication of violence, threat or intimidation made by any of the parties involved in the mediation process.
o Situations when parties have been clear in not wanting mediation
o Situations when there are outstanding current court matters or formal charges pending.
5 (a) Throughout Western Australia.
(b) Mediation and conflict coaching.
6 (a) 52.
(b) 21 cases received AADRS services outside Perth located  in Southwest (2), Wheatbelt (9), West Kimberley (2) and the Pilbara (8).
(c) All 52 cases proceeded to complete or substantial resolution.
(d) $625,592.
7 (a) As at 29 February 2008 AADRS has recorded 94 enquiries of which 56 have evolved into formal cases.
(b) 25 cases have received or are receiving AADRS services  outside Perth located in West Kimberley (1), Pilbara (10), Gascoyne/ Murchison (12) and Southwest (2).
(c) $657,985.
