(1) I thank the member for some notice of this question. The Department of Housing and Works plans to release 3 087 lots in 2006-07. These lots will range in price. Additional lots will be released through other government agencies, notably LandCorp. (2) These lots are a mix of joint venture, broad hectare, redevelopment and new living land development programs. Some can be purchased as part of a house and land package. (3) The lots range in price. Affordable housing and land packages, which can be replicated for below $365 000, have been developed. Packages will also be available below this price. (4) Yes. (5) First home buyers are given first priority to 50 per cent of the lots in a departmental ballot. Further, the government’s First Start shared equity home loan scheme aims to support 3 000 first home buyers to realise their dream of home ownership. (6) Not applicable.
