(1) The information sought in the member’s question without notice of 13 November referred in the opening parts (1) and (2) to the committee’s annual report for 2006-07. Therefore, the answer given to the subsequent question in part (6) was also for that financial and reporting year. I am happy to report that the work of the committee has not ceased at any time since it was created, and that in 2007-08 the committee has met on the following dates: 25 July 2007, 15 August 2007, 5 September 2007, 26 September 2007, 17 October 2007, 31 October 2007 and 13 November 2007. (2) In 2006-07, the Child Death Review Committee reviewed the deaths of 10 children known to the department.
