I have been advised by the Water Corporation as follows - (1) Water Corporation drought response advertising campaign 2001-02: $2 112 589 plus goods and services tax. Water Corporation drought response advertising campaign 2002-03: $1 778 759.10 plus goods and services tax. This also includes regional communications in drought affected areas. (2) Total media advertising costs, including drought response, incurred by the Water Corporation this financial year - to the end of January 2003 - was $2 554 038.30. Ningali Lawford is the only personality currently employed by the Water Corporation for electronic media promotional purposes. She is contracted to the Water Corporation on an annual basis at a cost of $30 000 plus superannuation contributions. (3) The Water Corporation only has information about its own expenditure.
