(a) ongoing programmes and individual projects involving Western Australia and East Java;
(b) ongoing programmes and individual projects involving Western Australia and Indonesia;
(c) budgeted costs of these projects and programmes, including non-State funding such as AUSAID, the Indonesian Government, etc; and
(d) any events, programmes or projects being considered to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the relationship.

Department of Culture and the Arts
(a) The Department of Culture and the Arts (DCA) and Murdoch University signed an Agreement in 2001 governing the display and use of the Western Australian State Gamelan by Murdoch University up to December 2011. The Western Australian State Gamelan is a complete bronze Javanese orchestra. It consists of 34 instruments and is made up of more than 500 pieces.
(b) None.
(c) The Agreement with Murdoch University concerning the Western Australian State Gamelan requires DCA to maintain insurance cover for the instruments and up to $1,000 per year maintenance costs. Insurance cover is provided under DCA's general policy.
In 2010 DCA will contribute $22 500 to the national AsiaLink program, which supports residencies across Asia including Indonesia. DCA will also provide $1 583 towards the South East Asian tour of Dr Adam Trainer.
(d) Responsibility for events to commemorate the 20
th
Anniversary of the East-Java-Western Australia relationship lies with the Department of State Development (DSD). DSD has liaised with DCA regarding the inclusion of cultural activities in recognition of the importance of the Sister-State relationship with East Java.
West Australian Museum
(a) Nil.
(b) The WA Museum has a collaborative research relationship with the Museum Zoologicum Bogoriense(MZB) in Cibinong. This relationship also facilitates the repatriation of expedition material from the WA Museum to MZB. Together they collaboratively completed the publication on the biodiversity and taxonomy of species from the survey along the Lesser Sunda Islands between 1987 and 1993.
