CANE TOADS — STRATEGY
I refer to the draft cane toad strategy announced today. How does the minister propose to deal with removing all genetically modified canola from Western Australia in the event that the commercial trials to be undertaken this year do not support the case for a future release of GM canola in Western Australia? The PRESIDENT : I take it that the minister has been given some notice of this question. Hon Anthony Fels : No, it is without notice. The PRESIDENT : Is the question to the Minister for Environment representing the Minister for Agriculture and Food? Hon Anthony Fels : It is to the Minister for Environment. The PRESIDENT : As far as the matter may relate to the Minister for Environment’s portfolio, no doubt she will give an answer. Hon DONNA FARAGHER
