STATE FINANCES — COMMONWEALTH BUDGET 2015–16
— TREASURY ANALYSIS
371. Mr B.S. WYATT to the Treasurer:
I refer to the state Treasury
analysis of the effects of the federal budget on Western Australia that is
undertaken after the release of the federal budget. Will the Treasurer table
that Treasury analysis today; and, if not, why not?

AnswerView source ↗

Yes; that is a similar question to
what the Premier was asked. Treasury is underway undertaking an assessment of
the commonwealth budget. It has other things on its plate. Treasury is
finishing up tomorrowXXX ###XXXs budget. We will
release the assessment when we find it. The commonwealth budget is very
complex. Treasury, in its usual way, wants to be thorough. There are a whole
range of potential impacts that are not readily apparent. For example, last
time some issues hit us that we were not initially aware of. We will do a
thorough assessment of the commonwealth budget and its impact on the state and
discuss it in this house.
