Question seeks specific distance measurements from the proposed Airport West Station to Terminals 3 and 4 at Perth Airport. The answer deflects, stating the station isn't designed for those terminals and they will be closed within a decade, while also taking a jab at the opposition's plan.

I refer to the Ministers' response to question on notice No. 2817 in the Legislative Assembly, regarding the distance to Terminal 2 and 3 and I ask, until Terminal 3 and Terminal 4 at the Perth Airport are closed, what will be the exact distance from the proposed Airport West Station to: (a) Terminal 3; and (b) Terminal 4?

(a)-(b) The Airport West or Belmont station is not designed to directly cater for current domestic terminal T3 & T4 users. These terminals will cease to exist within the next decade. The planned Airport West or Belmont Station will be designed to cater for the commercial and residential needs of the area that currently exist, and will grow substantially, when the current domestic terminals transition to the consolidated site with the international terminal. It is however still closer to the both T3 & T4 than the Labor party's Metronet Airport West/Redcliffe station located in the middle of Tonkin Hwy.
