DISABILITY
SERVICES COMMISSION — ACCOMMODATION SERVICES
1337. Hon ALANNA CLOHESY to the
Minister for Disability Services:
I ask this question on behalf of Hon Stephen Dawson, who is away from the
chamber on urgent parliamentary business.
I refer to the Barnett government's
decision to outsource Disability Services Commission–run accommodation
facilities.
(1) Which houses, if any, have been
transferred since the policy has been announced?
(2) Can the
minister confirm that some providers have pulled out of a transfer due to
insufficient funding being provided by the Disability Services Commission?
(3) Have any of
these providers been offered resources, in addition to those first proposed, to
take charge of any facilities?
(4) If yes to (3) —
(a) which organisations
have been offered additional funding, and how much was that funding; and
(b) from which budget and budget line
item have these additional resources come?
