AGGRAVATED BURGLARY — CUSTODIAL SENTENCES
251. Hon AMBER-JADE SANDERSON to the Attorney General:
(1) For the
2012–13 fiscal year, how many adult offenders were charged with
aggravated burglary but did not receive a custodial sentence?
(2) For the
2012–13 fiscal year, how many juvenile offenders 16 years of age and
over were charged with aggravated burglary but did not receive a custodial
sentence?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question. The following information is a count of matters, when a ''matter''
is defined as a person with one or more charges lodged in court on the same
day.
(1) A total of
425 cases resulted in a conviction for aggravated burglary and did not receive
a custodial sentence.
(2) A total of
158 cases resulted in a conviction for aggravated burglary and did not receive
a custodial sentence.
