The expenditure figure is comprised of $74 million by the Department of Conservation and Land Management, $37 million by the Water and Rivers Commission and $33 million by the Department of Agriculture. I appreciate this is only an indicative figure and could be considered to be conservative as it does not include specific natural resource management activities also undertaken by other government agencies including the Department of Environmental Protection, the Forest Products Commission, the Department of Fisheries, the Department of Local Government and Regional Development, the Department of Land Administration, and the Department for Planning and Infrastructure.
