DUTY CONCESSIONS — SOFTWARE
232. Hon NEIL THOMSON to the Minister for Finance:
I refer to funding in the budget
papers for the software associated with the off-the-plan duty concessions of
$41 000 per annum for 2025–2028. Does this mean that the state
government is going to extend the scheme for a further three years after 30 June
2024?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. I provide the following answer on behalf of the
Minister for Finance, who is away from the chamber on urgent parliamentary
business.
The 2023–24 state budget
records a spending change of $41 000 for the years 2024–25, 2025–26
and 2026–27 relating to depreciation of system enhancement costs. This
does not reflect an extension of the scheme.
