I thank the honourable member for some notice of this question. I provide information based on the advice received from the Minister for Health. (1) No. The Department of Health provides funding to the Goldfields Women’s Health Care Association only for individual counselling to women, therapeutic and health education groups, the provision of health information and referrals and counselling for unplanned pregnancies. (2) The Department of Health’s Women and Newborn Health Service has never provided funding for capital works to any of the non-government women’s health services. The funding allocated to the service is for specific purposes that relate to women and their health needs.
