Proposals for the introduction of the visitor entry fee and the air passenger service fee were developed by the Department of Fisheries and submitted to the Minister for Fisheries' Abrolhos Islands Management Advisory Committee which includes fishing industry and community members. This Committee advised the Minister for Fisheries of its preference for the introduction of this fee.
