The supplementary funding provided to HDWA was distributed as follows:
The bulk of the additional funding has been provided to the Metropolitan Health Service for core activity as part of an agreed process.
Metropolitan Health Services $18.7M
($15m was allocated for core activity and a further $3.7m for legal costs)
Other Health Services $ 5.0M
The distribution was to various Country Health Boards and Statewide Services relating to:
- Legal Costs
- FTE Benchmarking
- WA Influenza Surveillance Program (WA Winter Flu Strategy)
- Visiting Medical Practitioners - Payments
- Back-pay for Nurse EBA's
- North-West Doctors Gratutities Payments
- Pathology
- Nurse Retention initiatives
- Medical Equipment
