GERALDTON PORT — CRUISE SHIP DOCKING
1373. Hon DARREN WEST to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to question without notice 1041.
(1) Will the minister table a copy
of any of the modelling undertaken; and, if not, why not?
(2) Did any of the modelling provide
details of the likely cost of these works; and, if yes, what is that cost?

I thank the honourable member for the question.
(1) Yes. The Curtin University trial report
is complete and available for tabling in Parliament. The PricewaterhouseCoopers
report is not yet completed.
(2) Yes. The tension unit costs are $438 538
per unit, subject to market testing; infrastructure and equipment is $860 000,
subject to market testing; operational costs are $113 676 p er annum for two units; and deployment costs
are $5 400 per two‑unit deployment.
