(1) Has the minister been given advice by or sought advice from Crown Law about the effect of privacy laws on the request by her department for schools to provide to the department details of the names and addresses of parents or guardians of children in their school for the issue of the student payment referred to in the question by Hon Barry House? (2) If not, will the minister seek such advice before any action is taken by schools to reveal information about students which may breach privacy laws and inform the house accordingly?
